A babysitter once told me at the tender age of 8 that “real” ice cream is made with “good milk” which means it “will not melt easily”, it should be “really thick”, and “if it melts fast it’s cheap because they used a lot of water to make it.” That has remained my litmus test and Blue Marble has always passed with flying colors. The grass fed milk and high quality ingredients really do make a world of difference.

* this is from their Atlantic St. location. I can totally relate to this little girl’s anticipation. I feel ya kiddo! I was standing right behind her with glazed eyes.

The soft serve is new to the Court St. location (rather cheeky too I thought considering they have taken over the old Tasti-D Lite space). I had to really tug at the spoon to get it out almost like it was stuck in lard. I took my sweet time eating it, taking photos of it etc. and it just would not melt! That’s exactly the kind of density a high quality soft serve should have, so once again, Blue Marble hits the mark. They also have cookies and Nunu Chocolates too. My taste buds and my butt are having a debate on whether being this close to my home is a truly a good thing or not though.
